About RUNLOVE & External Services
RunLove is a platform for running coaches and athletes. Coaches create structured training plans, and athletes can optionally connect third-party services to sync completed activities.
Important: Training plans are created personally by your coach. We do not use AI algorithms to generate workouts.
1. Data We Collect
User-Provided Data:
- • Email address (login & recovery)
- • Name or nickname
- • Profile photo (optional)
- • Coach/Athlete relationships
- • Training plans and custom workouts
Strava Integration:
Metadata we store:
- • distance, moving_time
- • start_date, activity_id
- • Activity link (Strava URL)
2. Garmin Sync (Future Integration)
We are working on a Garmin Connect integration to allow seamless workout syncing. Data is used strictly for training analysis and coach feedback purposes. Our data usage policy for Garmin includes:
- No GPS Data: We do not store or process your precise GPS tracks, maps, or location history.
- Metadata Only: We only retrieve core workout metrics (distance, pace, heart rate, time) to verify training completion. Data is used strictly for training analysis and coach feedback purposes.
- User Control: You can enable or disable the Garmin connection at any time. No data is fetched without your active consent via OAuth.
- Coach Access: Only your designated coach can see the synchronized activity results to adjust your human-created training plan.
3. How We Use Data
Data is used strictly to provide core service functionality:
Prohibited Uses:
We DO NOT use your data for advertising, marketing tracking, or selling to third-party brokers. We do not use automated systems to replace human coaching.
Security & Storage
Your data is stored on secure Heroku servers using encrypted PostgreSQL databases. All tokens (Strava/Future Garmin) are encrypted and used only to retrieve activity data on your behalf.
Data Deletion
You can disconnect external accounts at any time. Upon disconnection, associated tokens and data are permanently deleted. You may also request full account deletion via email: asset@runlove.app
